THE LAST LETTER FROM AMERICA
Aged 95, Alistair Cooke is finally retiring from the broadcasting scene. It has been a joy to listen to his weekly "Letter from America" and his dignified commentary on things Americana will be sadly missed. Mark Steyn has a great appreciation of Cooke here, well worth a read.
