WILL TRIMBLE RESIGN?



Henry McDonald wonders if UUP leader wil resign if Jim Nicholson loses the UUP Euro-seat tomorrow. The answer is that I doubt Nicholson will actually lose the seat - but I do believe his vote will be down on 1999, possibly under quota. Such humiliation will be brushed off by Trimble, Steven King and the rest of the Vichy mob as being a mere trifle on their path to a resurgent return to electoral triumph. But that's how mad the UUP have become!! In a way, I hope Trimble stays as a warning to Unionists of what happens when a clever man with no fixed principles gets to lead your party. I wonder what Peter Robinson thinks of the election results? Mmmm..
