After ignoring the expressed wishes of the good folk of Yorkshire and Humberside and deciding to push ahead with all-postal ballots in the recent elections, the Government is now faced with a call from the MP for Bradford West, Marsha Singh, to scrap this ridiculous method of suffrage and return to more traditional voting arrangements.



Many locals were worried in the weeks immediately prior to the elections because postal ballots had been exposed as highly susceptible to attempts at voter fraud. Nevertheless, the Westminster mandarins went ahead with a ballot whose results in some areas were highly questionable. Maybe one day the belief of MP's that only they have managed to corral all worldly wisdom will be cruelly shattered.
