Each year more and more British students get higher and higher "A" level results. The pass rate, this year is forecast to be more than 95%! It will eventualy get to 100%. The Government claims that the exams are as demanding as ever and that it is "sour-grapes" to suggest that what we are actually witnessing is the dumbing down of British education by conniving politicians keen to bathe in the reflected glory of an alleged academic nirvana.



Of course this is EXACTLY what is happening. Students clutching a brace of grade "A" results are found to require remedial mathematics and english when they arrive at University. It's all a huge con - and the biggest victims are the kids. It's DODO education- "everyone's a winner and all must have prizes". Shame on the Government, shame on the educationalist ideologues, the trade Unions and the intellectual elite that play along with this charade.
