NADIA NUMPTY.
Well well. I see that Nadia Alamada, a portuguese transexual, has won the British Channel 4 "Big Brother" cash prize of £84,000. This years "Big Brother" series featured nudity, drunken brawls, sex between contestants - all in all, the sort of crap that is so highly prized by Channel 4 executives. I'm no prude, but you do have to ask what sort of impact this sort of toxic TV has on those watching? Does it dumb them down further? Does it plunge new depths of depravity in pursuit of viewing figures? What can we look forward to on next years Big Brother? First live gay sex, maybe? First murder, perhaps? After all, in a world without any standards, anything goes. Doesn't it?
