There are much more important things in this life than politics, like Music! So I thought I would let all discerning ATW know that I have just discovered that EMI records will be releasing a 3 CD Boxed set Kirsty MacColl anthology on 11th October!



I was, and remain, a serious fan of the flame-haired Croydon songstress. I think she wrote the wittiest, sincerest, and most touching lyrics of her time. Poignantly, the date of this release would have coincided with the day after her 45th birthday -she never lived to see it, having been tragically killed in a boating accident back four years ago. A terrible terrible loss.



Her elderly mother, Jean, supported by us loyal fans, has been trying to obtain justice for her daughter from the Mexican authorities by ensuring the man responsible for killing Kirsty is brought to justice. You can find out more facts here. It's called the JFK campaign- Justice for Kirsty.
