BORIS WOOSTER AND THE BARCLAYS.
Interesting article here on the liberal "Conserative " Boris Johnson. This Bertie Wooster media luvvie turned Tory MP is the editor of the UK Spectator magazine. Under his stewardship, it has become virtually unreadable for any principled conservative. Boorish Boris himself has been busy elevating his media profile through guest appearances on programmes such as "Have I Got News." He plays up the token eccentric tory toff - and is much loved by the BBC - in the same sense that they also love Portillo and other prominent TINO's. (Tory in Name Only)
But yipes - our Bertie..sorry Boris..is getting a little bit nervous that the new owners of the Daily Telegraph/Spectator, the Barclay Brothers, are less than happy with his sense of judgement. Who could blame them? Recently. Johnson put his name to a wacko motion by Scottish/Welsh natonalist MP's seeking to impeach Blair. This is the sort of behaviour that Boris thinks is endearing but which only lets down British conservatism.
So, I hope that the Barclay's do take a very close look at this fool who edits the Speccie, who writes mind numbing columns in the DT, and whose sole contribution to UK conservatism is to degrade it on panel games.
