BUSH STAYS WAY AHEAD IN POLLS..

I found this poll by CBS interesting from a number of perspectives.

First, even non-partisans must accept that CBS is no friend to Bush! (Rathergate, anyone?) Thus the +9 point lead over Kerry is worth thinking about as it is actually UP on the post convention bounce! Kerry is dead in the water folks, and some of his supporters now know this.



Second, on the big issue - terrorism - Bush romps ahead with the electorate. That is why he will win!



Third, too many liberals don't like Kerry! That is one important reason why he will lose.



Fourth, aren't these polls really detailed? UK polling is nowhere near as complex and whilst one always must be wary of getting lost in minor details, I think the UK could learn a lot from the US in this regard.
