The disturbing news is that the Iraqi authorities may release one of the two top female Saddamites, Rihab Taha (known as Dr Germ) currently in captivity in a ploy to satisfy the demand of the Jihadist kidnappers of British worker Ken Bigley. Hostage taking is a horrible business and one has to feel for Mr. Bigley and his family - but trying to APPEASE terrorists only brings more terror. This decision, if true, follows on from the recent decision to allow Al Sadr to walk away from the scenes of his crimes. There are some very poor judgements that play straight into the hands of the Jihadi. Expect an increase in hostage taking.
