THE WORLD'S KINDEST COUNCILLOR REBUFFED....
It's an outrage.
Sinn Fein/IRA Councillor Joe O'Donnell has been forced to withdraw his application to build three town houses at the bottom of his garden on land acquired cheaply from the Housing Executive.
The Councillor had assured cynics who had branded his plan as cackhanded pernicious profiteering that it was in fact an act of charity because he wouldn't make a penny profit. Not even a penny - just think of that. For some reason, the Council was "not convinced" of O'Donnells intentions and so the local community in the Short Strand loses out on this potential act of munificance from the IRA's preferred political spokesman for the area. It's sad, isn't it?
