100 mph madness.

By Courthawk.

This is an example of a scandalously lenient sentence for car crime - a five month jail sentence suspended for three years, a three year driving ban and a fine of £1,100. This 18 year old was already disqualified, drove at horrendous speeds and took bends on the wrong side of the road in his attempt to evade the police. Any innocent driver or pedestrian could have been killed. Ironically, the case was reported on the same day that the Belfast Telegraph ran a major front page story on Ulster's lawless drivers. Some deterrent here! The details can be found here in the Belfast Telegraph.
