When Tony "Trust me, I'm a regular guy" Blair came to power, the annual welfare bill for the UK was £92 billion. After seven years of falling unemployment, the annual welfare bill is now £137 BILLION. How odd! So a 50% increase in funding for the parasite culture from an administration that the media would have us believe is "Thatcherite"???? What rot! This vast increase in creating the reach of the dependency culture is central to the Labour plan to stay in power, permanently. It does amuse me how few liberal are prepared to come on and defend this massive profligacy - cat got their tongue?
