NAZI HUNTER KNIGHTED...

Britain has awarded an honorary knighthood to Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal, in recognition of his "lifetime of service to humanity." Not before time.

'Mein Kampf' at Bodenstown

Gerry Adams, terrorist leader cleverly disguised as a politician, delivered his annual oration praising the evil, past and present, in a futile attempt to convince genuine democrats that genocidal murder coupled with bodily mutilation, incineration and dismemberment (all practices used by the IRA over the course of the Troubles) were all part of a noble effort to purge 'Ireland' of the wicked Brits and supremacist Prods.

I then came across this speech which is not dissimilar in tone and meaning, just harsher in the semantics. But considering the subliminal links between Nazism and Sinn Fein during the War, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. The next time a tourist to the Irish Republic is greeted by the disingenuous phrase: 'Ceid mille failte', he or she ought to consider the wisdom of giving tourist dollars to a country where the modern-day incarnation of the National Socialists has just become the fourth largest political movement.

LIGHT READING...

This week, I will mostly be reading, "Himself Alone - David Trimble and ordeal of Unionism" by Dean Godson along with the spoof travel guide "Molvania -a land untouched by modern dentistry"

Both are full of laughs, in the latter case intentional.

Here's a few good one-liners from "Molvania"

"Molvanians love eating out - especially in France or Germany..."

"Most Molvanians have a sweet tooth - often the only one left after a lifetime of eating overly sweetened foods.."

"Molvania has many outstanding works of art, most of them plundered from Italy during the 17th century"

As for Dean Godson's tome on Trimble, best line identified so far is,

"(Steven) KING later became a star columnist in the Belfast Telegraph"

Laughed? I nearly did. Hope it gets better.

PUTTING THE FOX IN CHARGE OF THE HEN COOP.

IRA men should prepare for the day they will be running our Police force. So says Robert McBride, a former ANC prisoner turned head of Johannesburg East Rand's Metro Police. He told a gathering in Meigh in South Armagh bandit country that there needed to be a political conclusion to the province's divisions before an emotional healing process could begin.

How much crap is this?

IRA men should prepare to be imprisoned (if they are lucky)for their crimes against humanity, for their genocide campaign against the Protestant people of Northern Ireland, for their torture of Protestant and Roman Catholic, for their depraved maimings, for their rampant criminality, for their innate barbarism. The idea that these thugs should be deciding if they will deign to run policing in Northern Ireland is repulsive beyond belief.

Speaking of repulsive, I note that newly elected MEP Ms de Brun was in the audience for this lecture. Why on earth does Unionism stand for this? It is obvious that all the ground-work is being preprared for some obscene Truth and Reconciliation Commission. That is why Paul Murphy was recently over in South Africa. This has to be stopped as it will be the method used by Government to give a free pass to all terrorist murderers on the run. They tell us how much they feel out pain - we give them a "do not go to jail" card. Utterly immoral and utterly in line with Labour policy in N. Ireland.

The Bulldog is Top Dog

Have a look at this excellent piece in today's Sunday Times dealing largely with Britain's economic vigour. David Smith presents an impressive stream of statistics which not only pours cold water on the need to use France and Germany as economic role models, but vindicates the position of we Euro-sceptics on the viability of a complete withdrawal. Smith correctly mentions America and the Orient as places where the real economic resurgence will occur over the next half-century. The EU, by comparison, is facing a downturn spurred on by unfavourable demographics and burdensome industrial directives. Methinks we should change the EU anthem from 'Ode to Joy' to Merle Haggard's 'Misery and Gin'.

And James Kelly Makes Stooges Three

Every week the radicalised readers of the Irish News are treated to their very own media 'Goon Show'. Three 'commentators' (Brian Feeney, Jude Collins and James Kelly) vie to take the weekly title for the most obnoxious, anti-British newspaper article imaginable. Substance differs week on week, but the general themes range from metaphorically crawling up Sinn Fein/IRA's political posterior, labelling the Unionist voters in such a way that comparable stereotypes about black or Asian people would be rightly condemned, and waxing lyrical with falsehoods about the economic and infrastructural 'primitiveness' of Northern Ireland in comparison with its southern neighbour.

On Saturday, James Kelly took on the mantle of the bigoted bete noire. In customary fashion he proceeded to denigrate Northern Ireland as an economic, social, administrative and political backwater (naturally avoiding the reality of Sinn Fein's contamination of an otherwise democratic system). I wonder if Kelly (I won't do him the honour of a titular prefix) has missed the statistics indicating Northern Ireland has one of the UK's fastest growing economies? I wonder if he realises the extent of the middle classes in the Province is about the highest in the UK outside the South East? I wonder if he is aware that the growth of affluent Catholics is still the fastest increasing demographic in the Province? I doubt it!!! Kelly is one of a substantial band blinded by inaccurate perceptions of a land of milk and honey in the Irish Republic, and equally unfounded opinions concerning Ulster's overall health and viability.

However, Feeney, Kelly and Collins have a thread of commonality. They all relish the proliferation of a party linked to a fully-armed terrorist killing machine, to the extent that the establishment of a government in the Republic (a hitherto stable and democratic state) would be impossible without Sinn Fein participation. Why? Because of their stupid, naive belief that a pincer movement of Sinn Fein North and South would somehow subdue Northern Ireland's Unionist majority into surrendering their birthright and constitutional entitlements. I rather suspect each one drank a heady elixir prior to the commencement of their respective commentaries if they honestly think this forecast chain of causation will have the slightest bearing in the real world. As for Kelly's take on 'the demographic decline of Unionism', somebody ought to inform the misguided fool about the results of the 2001 Census. To almost everyone else, the demographic context of Ulster politics was then safely settled with statistical veracity.

EYES WIDE SHUT...

Henry McDonald, writing in the Observer, lovingly details the denial the SDLP high command have fallen into post-Euro election. He is quite right. Henry believes the only future for Durkan and the crazy gang is to join up with the Irish Labour Party and form an all-Ireland Labour Party. I disagree. They would be better joining up with the UUP and creating a partnership that could get enough mid-ground votes to remain viable in the medium term. Both parties are perhaps doomed by their own stupidity but by clubbing together they could postpone the evil day.

WHAT IS A "PARAMILITARY STYLE" BEATING?

The moral and political equivocation of the BBC is exemplified in this report of what they call "a paramilitary-style" mutilation of a man in Newtownards. Let's be clear. It either WAS or WAS NOT a paramilitary beating. It is not good enough to imply it is a paramilitary beating whilst attaching a caveat suggesting that it may not have been after all! We all know that this word formation is designed to soothe the nerves of those lotus-eaters in high political office whose job is to pretend that we have peace when we do not.

This attack was assuredly carried out by the UDA or UVF. Therefore it WAS a paramilitary beating. It was one more breach of their ludicrous oxymoronic cease-fires.
