Only in Northern Ireland would the murder of a man by a terrorist group be considered normal and nothing to get excited about. Thus yesterday's execution of Brian Stewart by the UVF merely causes an eye-brow to be slightly raised before reverting to the standarad see-no-evil mode. The UVF are scum, their released prisoners should be sent back to jail, their mealy-mouthed political apologists in the PUP should be questioned about any links or knowledge they may have of paramilitary gangs. I know this will be a blow to the NI media who just love David Ervine, leader of the PUP, but if we ever want to restore common decency, these barbarians need dealt with.
