THE DISHONOURS SYSTEM.



Today has seen the release of the Queen's Birthday honours with knighthoods and awards being handed out to the great and the good. I have to say that I totally oppose this Honours system and I feel it degrades our society. For footballers, actors & actresses, news readers, ad weathermen it may be a thrill but to me it is merely the pursuance of patronage. I know that Colin Parry, whose son was killed by the IRA at Warringtin, was amongst the honoured but again Mr.Parry has been useful to Government in the pursuance of their appeasement strategy in Northern Ireland. Here's my advice - scrap the honours system - if people want to do good works that is fine, they'll get their reward in the next world.



(P.S. If anyone in Government is accidentally reading this, and feels that it is high time a gong came the way of a frenzied blogger, I am prepared to change my mind of course!!)
