Gerry's Irony - Part II
Noted English author, Charles Caleb Colton, once said: 'Man is an embodied paradox, a bundle of contradictions.' It was this quote that sprang to mind when I read Gerry Adams' oleaginous outpouring of emotion about the brutal slaying of the BBC's Irish-born cameraman, Simon Cumbers in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
I wonder just what sort of topsy-turvy world we are living in when we have a terrorist expressing condolences to the family of a man killed by fellow terrorists. For make no mistake, there is absolutely no difference between the scum who killed Mr Cumbers and the scum Adams excuses, legitimises, mourns and eulogises. I suspect that the families of the 1800+ IRA victims will have to wait considerably longer for any sort of comparable regret, eh Gerry!
