Hey Jude!

Jude Collins, a member of the triumvirate 'Rat Pack' (the other two being Brian Feeney and James Kelly) whose naked journalism oozes anti-Britishness from every syllable, is overly concerned that the two Unionist candidates likely to be elected to Strasbourg next week are linked by a common resolve not to engage with the IRA's proxies. He waxes lyrical with his usual dose of jaundiced sarcasm intimating, later in the passage, that the Unionist electorate lacks the ability to elect candidates on merit - preferring, instead, to give votes to those who demonstrate the most reluctance to give terrorist apologists credence.

Hey Jude, don't take it so bad. After all, the pro-Union people are just doing what any other section of people would do after seeing evil scum lauded as peacemakers (not least by yourself); their culture and way of life ridiculed by the socially inferior; and every conceivable right and privilege being extended to those who cannot even reciprocate by recognising the constitutional integrity of the state that has granted this smorgasbord of concessions. Perhaps instead of directing your poison pen at the Unionist 'beauty contest', you might do well to stop and question the 'right' of Sinn Fein/IRA to stand on a democratic ticket. Furthermore, you might want to ask yourself what sort of society would even treat such a politically abhorrent heterodoxy as a normal party movement.
