Ms de Brun represents the IRA's best chance of having a Northern Ireland MEP propagandist sent to Brussels. That said, I find the politiking of Nicholson and Aliister on Sinn Fein rather one dimensional. In the UUP man's case, his was the Party that saw nothing wrong is sitting in Government with Sinn Fein until the heat got electorally too great and the DUP man's party proposes sitting up "corporate" government which would allow Sinn Fein into power and influence. Both these approaches are fuzzy-headed. Unionists should be straight about this; there should be NO acceptance of Sinn Fein in any form of political governance until the IRA disarms, disbands and accepts the full weight of the law applied to its wretched membership. That would give Blair real pause for thought. If united Unionism rejected paramilitarism - what would Tony do?
