One-Dimensional Truth



Yet again we see Geraldine Finucane performing her oft repeated role as the doyenne of hypocritical pathos. To those who are ill-informed, Geraldine Finucane is the wife of the late Pat Finucane, a Belfast solicitor whose 'fat of the land' was provided courtesy of defending evil and despicable IRA terrorists. Although some myopic individuals such as Sir John Stevens tried in vain to convince us all that the legal profession was Finucane's only interest, we are reliably informed by Sean O'Callaghan (former Provisional activist turned informer) that Finucane was an integral part of the IRA network.



Thus, being shot and killed by fellow terrorists simply vindicates the maxim of: 'those who live by the sword....' Since that fateful night 15 years ago, widow Geraldine has been calling for the 'truth' as to who was behind Finucane's slaying. It has to be said, however, that 'establishing the truth' in Irish nationalist eyes invariably means anything enabling them to point the finger of blame at the Crown Forces - irrespective of fact. Whilst we are on the subject of 'truth', Geraldine, please enlighten us on the nature of your late husband's role in the Provisional movement.



Why was he often seen in the company of Gerry Adams?



Why was Adams so in awe of him?



What were the specifics of his relationship with senior IRA activists?



Why did he not report to the police the fact that his siblings were also active in the IRA and, consequently, save lives in the process?



Why did your son, Michael, recently give an oration at a Bobby Sands memorial if your family has no sympathy with the aims and modus operandi of violent republicanism?



Do I expect an honest response from Mrs Finucane? No! Because Irish nationalists live in a cocoon of stomach-churning fantasy: a world where they believe only nationalists can be victims; and where only nationalists deserve apologetic reparations.
