Unionism does not have to embrace its own destruction, it merely has to acquiesce to it. A great example of the decay within Unionism is evidenced by what happened at the Drumcree impasse yesterday. Like the Grand Old Duke of York, Portadown District Orange Order marchedd up to the cultural apartheid supporting police line, handed in their little letter of protest, and buggered off for another year. As I say, acquiescing to their own destruction. I heard the local Mayor of Craigavon comment on what a successful day it had been.
