The news that an elderly lady was threatened by a gang of paramilitary thugs when she told them off for erecting a flag outside her house is a disgrace. The lady concerned is the mother of Danny O'Connor, an SDLP politician. Here's my take on this. If the men responsible are "known paramilitaries" then why have they not been arrested? If Mr O'Connor so objects to paramilitaries exercising control over flagpoles, why did he and his craven Party vote to allow paramilitaries to exercise control of our Government. Mr.O'Connor should be more careful for what he wishes for.
