A Tangled Web

I Name that Child.....



In an age of unparalleled human stupidity, we find parents Christening their offspring with names verging from the farcical to the obscene. Last week, a woman in Bradford (a city where anything and everything is possible) decided to name her twins Bacardi and Coke!! Why is seemingly impossible for today's parents to confer children with orthodox names?



Recently I have read stories of babies being blessed with such monstrous forenames as 'Kai-Keanu', 'Oakley', 'River', 'Sky', 'Harrison', 'Bentley', 'Rosebud' and 'Jefferson'. Have these cerebrally-challenged progenitors any idea of the degree of playground bullying their children could be subjected to because of a penchant for appellative eccentricity? What the hell is wrong with the age-old tradition of naming children after saints?



Whilst waxing lyrical about the latest manifestation of retro-human development, I remembered a piece which appeared on CNN two years ago. How's this for sheer lunacy?
