Meeting Joe Black



I'm amazed!! A member of the Republican Movement has been caught lying, folks!! Surely not! Not a member of the holier-than-thou Irish 'freedom-fighter' sect which brutalised every age and social class in the name of an historical inaccuracy. Not a member of the same movement currently demanding the unadulterated truth from its combative opposition. In the words of Victor Meldrew: 'I don't believe it!!'



Enough of the sarcasm. I don't suspect it fooled anyone for a moment. The story in question concerns 'former' IRA man, Joseph Henry Black, who was detained in Philadelphia after filling out an immigration card with negative responses given to questions pertaining to past crimes and convictions. I can't see anyone in the US JTTF believing the nonsensical excuses uttered by his spouse. The facts are clear: a person with a violent and bloody history attempted to enter the United States (a country on a McCarthyite mission to root out terrorists) under false pretences. Moreover, he 'was' a activist in an organisation with stridently anti-American prejudices.



Black will now have to pay for his bare-faced lies in a prison cell pending his deportation. We should be grateful that America still incarcerates those with terrorist associations, as opposed to ensconcing them in government as we do here in Britain.
