SALT IS THE WORD...
I think I have solved the mysterious case of why Northern Ireland's elected MLA's are so stupid. It's all to do with SALT...see more here. It strikes me that the subsidised food served in the opulent surroundings of the Members Dining Room must be covered in the stuff - hence the inabilty if most MLA's to string together a coherent sentence!
