I was delighted to read that Israelis are defying PM Sharon's appeasement plan to withdraw from Gaza territory. It seems that settlements have been growing this year, despite bloodthirsty Palestinian terrorism. The chain of 100,000 settlers linking hands in a 56 mile human chain symbolises the gritty determination which I so admire in these people. Sharon has NO right to give up one inch of Israel soil to the tatty realpolitik agenda he is so intent to pursue. Shame on him.
