THE STRANGE CASE OF THE DISAPPEARING SLUGGER POSTS.





Regular readers will know that I am a consistent critic of the fanatical Jihasists that terrorise our world. These were the people who piloted passenger jets into the Twin Towers, who beheaded Danny Pearl, who continue to represent a massive threat to our civilisation. While perpetrating these vile acts, many of them recited verses from the Qu'ran, declaring "Allahu akbar" (God is great)



This raises the quesion; Are we in a war with terror, or are we in a war with militant Islam. I believe it is the latter, but there are many who deny flat-out that Islam is an issue.



On a recent Slugger O'Toole thread, I noticed that a debate started that then went on to touch on this topic. A Slugger correspondent, Felix Quigley, made a number of interesting points, many of which I would concur with. Trying to offer support, and additional comment, I posted a contribution. It has not appeared. I posted a subsequent enquiry as to why this did not appear - guess what, it didn't appear either!! Is it now Slugger policy to only allow certain points of view? I think we should be told, don't you. Am I in some moderators little black book? Mmm..

Luckily, I have the freedom to put the gist of my response here....this is for Felix.

Quran takes away the freedom of belief from all humanity and tell clearly that no other religion except Islam is accepted (Q. 3: 85). It relegates those who disbelieve in Quran to hell (Q. 5:10), calls them najis (filthy, untouchable, impure) (Q. 9: 28). It orders its followers to fight the unbelievers until no other religion except Islam is left (Q. 2: 193). It says that the non-believers will go to hell and will drink boiling water (Q. 14: 17)."



Obviously this is a religion of peace.



Pity Slugger failed to rise to the challenge.
