BRITISH JOURNALIST KIDNAPPED.



I am very sorry to hear the Brit journalist James Brandon has been kidnapped by Jihadists in Basra. In true "religion of peace" style they have released a video threatening to kill him. Let up pray that he is released without further harm (they have already shot him in the legs).



It is salient that this kidnapping happened in Basra - where the British Army are located. I have been critical of the "softly softly" approach (learnt from their time in Northern Ireland, allegedly) employed by the British Army here. It seems to me that Jihadi only understand one thing, be it in Basra OR Baghdad - and that is the use of overpowering force against them, as demonstrated (finally) in Najaf.
