THE PEOPLE'S FOUNTAIN.



The sheer vacuousness of modern Britain is manifest in the "Fountain" memorial to Princess Diana in London's Hyde Park. This staggeringly ugly construct,, much more remininscent of a drain than a conventional fountain, was unveiled only a month or so ago. It promptly closed for repairs, and I see that Labour harpie Tessa Jowell has been quick to blame the public!



I was by no means a Diana fan, but I can think of much better memorials to her than this stupid open sewer. It is sad that the great and the good who planned this memorial to her, and the Government which funded it, have not an atom of taste between them. Goodbye England's rose indeed!
