RAPIST WINS £7 MILLION

I note that a man serving life for attempted rape in on of Her Majesty's Prisons has become a £7 million winner in the Great British lottery. The 52-year-old was nearing the end of a life sentence after being jailed in 1989 for a number of sex attacks. Under Home Office guidelines prisoners on temporary release from jail are allowed to play the lottery. There is something very sick about this - a convict wins millions and all the authorities do is shrug. Pathetic.
