We are, officially, the asylum capital of the world!



I know this may surprise some British readers who are constantly assured by the Government publicity machine that it is "cracking down hard" on Asylum seekers. Sure.



Last year, the UK received 61,050 new asylum seekers (that we know of). This is more than AMERICA, and more than either France or Germany. 27,000 were granted refugee status, compared to 18,000 in France and Germany.



Under Blair, the tsunami of immigration continues apace. It is affecting our public sector services, it is exposing our border security, and it indicates the chaos that lies at the heart of Government policy.
