THE SDL WHO?
Martin Morgan, the SDLP's Euro-poll candidate back in June, has decided to throw in the towel and devote himself to social work. He said he will not stand for next year's local elections and plans to concentrate on his professional career. SDLP leader Mark Durkan said Mr Morgan was "a loss to front line politics".
Poor Martin - he speaks quite well for an SDLP candidate - knows how to perform to the camera - but the slight problem is that his party is down and on the way out. You can all blame John Hume.
