70,000 DEAD - URGENT NEW DEBATE SOON!
70,000 people dead. The World Health Organisation estimation of the number of people who have died in refugee camps in Darfur, Sudan since March, is shocking. Add to that the 50,000 killed by the Arabist janjaweed and we have quite a little genocide on our hands. And what is the United Nations, that guardian of global morality, going to DO about it? Nothing.
Next time you hear Robin Cook, or John Kerry, or Hans Blix, waffling on about the vital importance of the UN imprimatur - remember these 120,ooo people whose lives were lost while the UN debated the topic. Then remember the 900,000 people that lost their lives in Rwanda under UN noses. Then remember WHY the United Nations is a complete waste of space as are those who advocate it.
