AN ARMY IN RETREAT.
Playing to the republican gallery, General Sir Mike Jackson, Chief of the General Staff, has said that while he remained cautious, it was `quite possible` that the trigger for the Army`s `normalisation` process could come `this side of Christmas`. This would mean the British troops out of Northern Ireland in less than twelve weeks. What does Sir Mike know that makes him say this? Won't he share it with us?
