A Tangled Web

One of the more ludicrous stories in this past few days has been the news that Londonderry-based conflict resolution experts were trying yesterday to help bring Northern Ireland-style peace to the Middle East. The "experts" are from the University of Ulster's Magee campus in Londonderry and are in Ramallah, in the heart of the Middle East's trouble-torn West Bank, for a seminar that draws on peace-building similar to the methods used in Ulster.



What a lot of tripe! Here we have a posse of pompous self-indulgent tossers from Northern Ireland academia poncing off to pontificate with Palestinians who want to drive Israelis into the sea.
