"TWO PEOPLES - ONE STATE."
Just in case there are people out there labouring under the illusion that the PLO seeks a political solution that would allow Palestinians and Israelis to live side by side, in peaceful harmony, Michael Tarazi writing in the New York Times spells it out - bye bye Israel - hello one more Arab State.
As Barry Rubin explains in the Jerusalem Post: "For the PLO destroying Israel is more important than building an independent Palestinian state or relieving the Palestinian people's suffering. That is why Yasser Arafat turned down Israel's offer at Camp David as well as the Clinton plan, both of which offered a viable independent state with its capital in Jerusalem." It follows that "any chance for progress in the peace process is an illusion. While road maps, declarations, delegations, and other efforts may contribute to peace in the long-term, in the immediate context they are useless exercises in wishful thinking."
I agree with the conclusion reached over on Power line that even though the Palestinians could not be more blatant in their desire to seek the destruction of Israel as a functioning State, and despite their genocidal campaign against Israel for daring to exist, the same gutless UNophiles, EUnuchs and myriad NGO's will cheer them on in their holocaust style objectives.
