A Tangled Web

I'm reading the new biography about Elvis Costello by Graeme Thomson called "Complicated Shadows." The thing about biogs is that they frequently show that your heroes have feet of clay. Even Elvis. Maybe the Stranglers were right when they sang, "No More Heroes"? Anyway it's a fascinating read for me - packed with nostalgia and lots of stories that are new to me. When it comes to Elvis I love the words, the music and the attitude. Lets face it - he is a bit of a curmudgeon and all the better for it. You can tell where I get my bad attitude from!
