LE MONDE GETS IT RIGHT!
I have to agree with the recent editorial in Le Monde which spelt out the following;
"They persecute ethnic minorities, torture and kill Falun Ging devotees, and maintain the biggest chain of prison camps on the planet. They execute thousands of prisoners each year after trials that last barely an hour, interfer with the courts and silence defence lawyers they disapprove of. China's leaders believe we are so besotted by the spectacular growth of their economy that we've forgotten what deeply repressive lot they are. And in the case of Jacques Chirac, they are right."
Le Monde goes on to claim that there is NOTHING the French President will not do to curry favour with Beijing.
