Michael McGimpsey, that most charming and personable of Ulster Unionists, has informed the world that "Anybody who imagines that Stormont can go on after the next general election is living in cloud-cuckoo-land.' Seemingly concerned at the idea that'It's unsustainable, the shambles that we have up there with all those MLAs floating about, drawing big salaries, not doing the jobs they are being paid to do. All the infrastructure, including that huge building, is just sitting there."



Let's hope sunny Michael is right I would be delighted to see the Stormont Assembly bulldozed and turned into something more useful, like a landfill site. I would also be pleased to see the fat cat MLA's forced into the humiliation of actually earning a living.
