IT WAS 25 YEAR AGO TODAY....

..That Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Whilst Lady Thatcher had her imperfections she was a political giant who did the UK many favours. She spelt out why consensus is not always a desirable thing, she took on the fatcats in the Trade Unions, she fought (but lost) against the Euro-weenies in her own ranks, and her instincts on tackling terrorism were correct. Her reputation has always taken a battering from the stomach-churning left wing UK media, but I believe she was truly first amongst equals, an inspiration for her time, and a Prime Minister that made the sickman of Europe great again. God bless her.

SAUDI ARABIA - AT THE CENTRE OF THE AXIS OF EVIL.

Media reports of the brutal murders of five men in the Saudi Arabia port city of Yanbu demonstrate once again how integral Saudi is to the axis of evil. With reports that one of the dead men was dragged for an hour and a half through the city, his desecrated body shown off as a trophy, the question that has to be asked is where were the Saudi authorities? Why did Prince Abdullah suggest it was "Jewish interests" behind the murders? Could it be that this anti-Semetic terrorist loving Petroleum swamp needs de-infested?

SHARON APPEASEMENT PLAN DEFEATED...

Great news from Israel.
The Likud Party has overwhelmingly refused to endorse Ariel Sharon's plan to reward Palestinian terrorism by handing over Gaza to Arafat's kleptocracy. Even though the US and UK both sought to meddle and help Sharon spin this one through, the people know better. The "settlers" should stay, should not hand over one inch of their historical land to the Arabs, and Sharon should have another think about his appeasement policy. Result.

P.S. Whilst votes were being counted, more of those crazy Palestinian "activitists" showed how much they want peacey killing a pregnant Jewish woman and her four daughters aged between two and 11. That's right aged TWO and ELEVEN. How brave these Palestinians must be - it must take a lot of guts to slaughter a two year old child.

I liked this excerpt from Steven Plaut's take on the issue, "Mugabian democracy"...

"Every single time voters were allowed to express their opinion on the Oslo "peace

process" and its strategy of trying to appease our way to peace, the

voters of Israel rejected it by large margins. The politicians proceeded

to implement the appeasements anyway. Every single time Israeli voters

have been asked, they favored dealing with the PLO through achieving

military victory over it, through annihilating it and its terrorists.

They favored dealing with the enemy through fighting him, not appeasing

him."

Absolutely right.

IMMIGRATION OFFICIALS WON'T ENFORCE IMMIGRATION LAWS..IT'S OFFICIAL!

Honestly, this is priceless!

"The fact that an administration official and a United States Congressman, would take such pains to publicly assure people that they have no plans to enforce the laws they are sworn to uphold is, simply put, mindboggling," said Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Col.), "and they owe the American people an explanation."

LINDY MCDOWELL ON TOP FORM...

Whilst I have not always seen eye-to-eye with Lindy McDowell - especially when she was still up for giving the Belfast Agreement a chance - I have to also say that in recent years she has been a bright speak of integrity, wit and insight amongst the rather dire brigade of pro-Agreement eunuchs writing for the Belfast Telegraph. In her latest column, she is spot-on regarding the gross hypocrisy of Government's pussy-footing about with terrorists. Linda is a brave and intelligent writer and I wish her well.

THE SDLP MASTER PLAN FOR OSTRICHES....

Anyone who doubts how supremely irrelevant the SDLP has become should check out their "closely-guarded" masterplan for restoring the Assembly.

Naturally, it does not require the IRA to decommission before the return of the Assembly. Head going into the sand.

Next, it envisages the Irish Government having the right to nominate one of several Commissioners twho will run the Assembly in the interim period. Head going deeper.

Then, it assumes that the DUP and Sinn Fein will do a deal. Oops - the sand is choking me.....

Poor Durkan, deluded, disenfranchised and dull.

THE NEW EUROPEAN DREAM...

Here's a great example of the sort of turgid nonsense that our liberal media has been churning out with regard to the new 10 States joining Euroland. Wow, if Chris Patten thinks its good, you know it has to be BAD!

PIGS SEEN FLYING OVER STORMONT!

The suggestion by Bertie and Tony that the Stormont Assembly "could be and and running" by the end of the year is so far-fetched that even the BBC doubts the substance of it!
