You know it's amazing! Whenever relatives of innocent victims request an audience with the PSNI's ubercop, Hugh Orde, you don't see his politically correct backside for dust. Quite the opposite applies when parents and siblings of terrorists demand meetings, however. The Times has a story with infomation that relatives of the 'Loughgall 8' will be meeting Orde tomorrow, seeking information about the 'deaths of their loved ones.'
So that nobody can be in any doubt, these 'loved ones' were some of the most vicious and resolute members of the Provisional IRA. There is no 'truth' to seek: IRA terrorists were about to launch an attack on the local RUC station when they were ambushed by the SAS - and duly dispatched. They will now be burning in the fires of hell with any luck. It's a case of cause and effect. If they had not been planning mass murder, they would not have been killed. Period!!!
I think Orde would be doing the peaceful taxpayers of Northern Ireland a favour if he concentrated more on bringing closure to grieving families of innocent victims, as well as dealing with the Province's spiralling crime rate, instead of placating low-life relatives of terrorist detritus.
