Contrary to all the whinging in the UK media in the past week, and contrary to the witterings of Col. Joan Collins, the British Army ITSELF lobbied to sent to the parts of Iraq where the action is, according to THIS article in the Sunday Times. British officers have been “champing at the bit” for months to be allowed the chance to demonstrate what they believed are superior skills in restoring order, according to a senior military source.



Well, whether their skills (honed in the vast appeasement camp of Northern Ireland) are indeed superior to those of the US, time will tell. But what we can now be certain of is that once again we have witnessed a week of media-generated hysteria aimed at damaging Blair and flaming the fires of Bush hatred across the UK. Quite disgraceful.
